Brian and I met at UNI when I was a freshmen. We both graduated from there and were thrilled to see our school make it to March Madness. Not only did they make it but they actually beat number 1 rated Kansas. Unfortunately they were unable to beat Michigan State, but we sill showed our Panther Pride!

Little Leperchauns
St. Patrick's Day has always been a big day in our house. When I was little my mom would have the leperchauns visit with their green glitter and gold coins. When I became a teacher I made sure that the leperchauns always visited my classroom and now that I am a mommy I make sure that they visit our house. This year Finn was ready for them. He spent the whole week before on the lookout for them. We woke up the morning of St. Patrick's Day to hearing Finn yelling from the living room, "they came, they were here, come see". They sure made a mess around our house, turning the milk green, leaving green paint footprints everywhere, and they even turned the toilet water green! They also left some fun green suprises- a green car and chocolate for Finn and a green binky and bubbles for Lucille. We had a great day eating green colored pancakes, shamrock shaped peanut butter sandwiches and going to the parade.
Mommy of Two
I am a Mother of two children, a son and a daughter. I still can't say "my children" or "the kids" without smiling. Having two children is certainly an adjustment. Learning to meet the needs of two, sharing your time, feeling the guilt of having to let one wait, these are all things we have being dealing with over the last couple weeks. We have also been dealing with watching my little boy become a big brother. Seeing him hold his little sister, kiss her cheeks, find her binky and pat her feet melts my heart. I know he is dealing with his own feelings of adjustment but I also see how much he loves her. I am so excited to see our lives grow with the addition of our little girl.
